Here at Gap Year for Grown Ups, we strongly recommend anyone wanting to travel to Latin America to learn a language. Learning some basics the local language will not only make your career break trip run more smoothly, but you'll be able to get out and experience the country a lot easier. You'll get to chat to the local people and really get a taste of the culture.
With our Spanish and Portuguese Language Schools all over Latin America, we make it easy learn a language abroad. Many of our volunteer programmes include a few language lessons so you can pick up some of the basics wherever you are!
