GYFGU launches its ‘new look' website
Monday 8th May sees the launch of the new Gap Year for Grown Ups website. We have given it a whole new look, making it easier to navigate and to find out more about us and what we do.

The site goes beyond what programmes we offer but acts as a fully comprehensive information bank of everything to consider before you take your trip.
The key features are:

- We have added a lot more information - more advice, suggestions and programme information has been made more easily accessible.
- To make it easier to find your way round, we have added a search facility - if you are specific about what you want to do, where you want to go and when, the search function will deliver the relevant results.
- We have also added a latest news section on the home page to keep you informed of all new developments and special offers.

Volunteer project - 8 weeks Himachal Pradesh, India
I had always wanted to travel and experience other cultures but I felt that building a career was more important. Yet more recently I started to question if my chosen career was right for me.

I felt that at 34 I was a little late to go off and see the world but the need to ‘do something for other people' won.
With no previous teaching experience, I threw myself in at the deep end teaching English to local school children. The schools were very basic so I soon discovered a creative side to me!

My project was extremely worthwhile and provided a rewarding experience. Despite my lack of teaching skills, I felt that I had made good progress during my time in India.
